Environmental Assessment - Online and Distance Education

Environmental Assessment

About Us

The Master of Environmental Assessment program is an internet-based online and distance education program. There are no seated or face-to-face classes, which allows us to better meet the flexible access needs of adult learners in the field of environmental assessment across the state, over the nation, and throughout the world. Students have contact with numerous faculty who come with a diverse set of research backgrounds. The program allows students to choose from a broad selection of electives courses across the University including the College of Natural Resources, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the College of Engineering and the School of Public and International Affairs.

NC State is one of the leading land grant universities in the nation, with more than 31,000 students and nearly 8,000 faculty and staff. With its 10 schools and colleges, NC State is consistently ranked among the top 50 public universities and is well recognized for its science, technology and mathematics programs. More than 1/3 of NC State’s overall faculty throughout its 10 colleges pursue teaching, research and extension activities related to the environment. They are engaged in efforts to enhance sustainability, understand the links between energy and the environment, provide forecasts of global climate change, and find better ways to conserve and manage natural resources.
